Halloween in Tuscany-Canterbury in the 21st Century. The origins of Halloween date back over 2,000 years to a Celtic festival that marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. It was believed that good and evil spirits roamed the earth that night. When Scottish and Irish immigrants came to North America, they brought their Halloween traditions with them.
